Demonstrative Pronouns

 A demonstrative pronoun points to specific persons, places, or things or identifies a noun without naming the noun.

Remember this/that these/those from the Adjectives chapter? They were used together with a noun.

Now, used as demonstrative pronouns, this/that these/those can stand alone. The noun to which they refer is understood and does not need to be stated.

Here are a couple of examples of demonstrative pronouns:
